The Next Chapter of Golf at Dove Mountain
Three distinctive clubs, a championship legacy, and a $15 million renovation shape golf at Dove Mountain.
At Dove Mountain, golf begins with the land.
Across three clubs and 81 holes, desert washes, canyons, and the Tortolita Mountains, form the views and the way each course plays.
The Gallery Golf Club, The Golf Club at Dove Mountain, and The Highlands at Dove Mountain offer different challenges, with dining, fitness, and recreation beyond the fairways.
For residents, a round of golf can be as much a part of the day as a walk on the trails or dinner with friends.
Three Golf Clubs at Dove Mountain
The Gallery Golf Club
The Gallery Golf Club offers 36 holes designed by John Fought, with Tom Lehman collaborating on the North Course.
The North Course has been recognized among Golfweek’s Top 100 Modern Courses and was previously ranked No. 1 in Southwest Arizona by Golf Digest. Its routing crosses two rugged canyons, and the par-5 ninth hole stretches to 725 yards.

The South Course hosted the Accenture Match Play in 2007 and 2008. Elevation changes, a 60-foot bridge at the 18th hole, and elements inspired by Pinehurst No. 2 give it a distinct character within the Sonoran Desert.
The Gallery Sports Club offers pickleball, tennis, an Olympic-size lap and recreational pool, and a fitness studio with up to 40 classes each week. Casual and fine dining and a year-round social calendar round out the club’s amenities.
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, The Golf Club at Dove Mountain features 27 championship holes. The World Golf Championships Accenture Match Play moved here from The Gallery’s South Course in 2009 and remained through 2014.
Its three nine-hole courses, Saguaro, Tortolita, and Wild Burro, offer a variety of 18-hole combinations. Elevation changes, native vegetation, and desert carries influence strategy throughout the round.
Amenities include a 45,000-square-foot clubhouse, practice facilities, professional instruction, a golf shop, and Cayton’s Restaurant. Guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain may also play the course.
Membership
Both The Gallery Golf & Sports Club and The Golf Club at Dove Mountain are owned by Escalante Golf, creating a unique membership experience with access to two distinct clubs and 63 holes of golf.
The Highlands at Dove Mountain
Just a mile north, The Highlands at Dove Mountain offers an Arthur Hills-designed, semi-private, community-owned championship course with views of five mountain ranges and the Marana valley.

The front nine follows natural arroyos and desert washes, while elevation changes on the back nine test club selection and strategy. Lakes and water features contrast with the desert terrain, and multiple sets of tees accommodate a range of abilities.
Practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, and short-game area. The clubhouse offers dining, fitness, swimming, tennis, pickleball, and community events. Public play is offered based on availability.
The 15 Million Dollar Course Renovation
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain’s $15 million renovation updates greens, bunkers, and tee boxes across all three nine-hole courses. The three-phase project aims to improve playability while preserving Jack Nicklaus’ championship design.
Saguaro Reopens

Saguaro is now open following completion of Phase One. Greens have been resurfaced and reseeded, surrounds recontoured, and white-sand bunkers reduced and reshaped.
Tees have been laser-leveled and replanted, with new forward tees offering more options for golfers of all ages and abilities. Selective clearing improves visibility while respecting the native landscape, including rare crested saguaros.
Tortolita and Wild Burro

Phase Two is underway at Tortolita. The 10-month project includes improvements to greens, bunkers, tees, and the surrounding landscape, with completion anticipated by early April 2027.
Phase Three will continue with Wild Burro, whose routing offers views of the Tortolita Mountains and The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain.
Life Beyond the Fairways
Golf contributes to Dove Mountain’s sense of space, even for those who never pick up a club. Fairways open long views through the community, with the surrounding desert close at hand.
Beyond the clubs, hiking, photography, birding, cycling, and walking offer ways to enjoy the Tortolita Mountains and Sonoran Desert.
For buyers who want golf close to home, golf-front opportunities are available from Fairfield Homes at Dove Mountain, Fairfield Homes at Boulder Canyon, Richmond American Homes at Saguaro Reserve, and Pulte Homes in Saguaro Reserve’s Majesty neighborhood.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Dove Mountain also offers personalized residences and custom estate homesites, including golf homesites overlooking the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
