NEW: Dove Mountain CSTEM K-8 School Opens August 5th

Less than a year ago, construction on a new K-8 Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (CSTEM) school began on Dove Mountain. The school provides a 21st century curriculum designed to give students the experiences, knowledge and skills they need to be successful in college, careers and life. Students experience rigorous Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (CSTEM) academics and learning tools in every class where they are exposed to practical hands-on lessons, which have direct relevancy to real-world challenges.

The CSTEM Schools put best educational practices into action to promote individual achievement and life-long curiosity. From the design of the classrooms and furniture, mobile tools, zSpace AR/VR Labs and Media Room, to Makerspace and Outdoor Learning Areas, student needs and learning styles are anticipated and nurtured.

The school and its curriculum are designed to provide a rich learning environment where students feel safe taking risks, learning from mistakes and solving problems creatively and, of course, while having fun doing it.

The new school will also offer full-day free kindergarten; gifted and special education; fine arts and music; health services; a full-time master-level counselor; physical education programs and athletics; and before- and after-school care.

“This is an exciting opportunity for students and their family members,” Said Principal Andrea Divijak. “I am so appreciative of the Dove Mountain community and Marana residents who have been so welcoming. I look forward to meeting more of the community in the coming months as we embark on this incredible new journey of building learners and leaders of the future.”

Parents can enroll now at www.maranausd.org.
